The face behind Caresse Babyspa

Mandy Gast was born in Eindhoven in 1990 and has been the proud owner of Caresse Babyspa since December 12, 2020. At Mandy's birth, her parents gave her the baptismal name "Caresse," which means caress. So she didn't have to think long about the name of the baby spa, because caressing is exactly what the baby spa is all about: quality time with your baby!

Since the age of 15, Mandy has always been actively involved in making others happy, and she considers it important to unburden people and ensure they have a good time. For example, during her HAVO education, she was chairperson of the student council and mentored first-year students during their first year at secondary school. The school parties and the end-of-year gala were also made possible in part by Mandy.

After completing her HAVO (senior general secondary education), she decided to pursue a degree in Hotel and Event Management, where she worked for over 10 years. With the collapse of this industry due to COVID-19, Mandy decided to change course and focus on her other passion: the wellness industry!

Her godchild's mother told her about the limited range of activities available to do with a baby and how happy she was to have discovered a baby spa in Antwerp (!). Mandy went along once and saw how the baby enjoyed being able to move freely in warm water. It reminded her of her own rehabilitation process after a serious car accident, after which she had to learn to walk again through hydrotherapy. Mandy explored the baby spa concept and quickly came to the conclusion that it was perfect for her.

She retrained as a baby massage instructor, became a Dunstan Babytaal trainer, obtained her First Aid diploma, and completed various courses and training in the field of anatomy & physiology. Mandy is also the director/owner of Dunstan Babytaal Netherlands and makes an active contribution to a working group for hydrotherapy for babies.

Mandy loves what she does, and it shows! Hospitality, expertise, and personal attention come first.

In this way, we ensure that not only the babies but also the parents can relax. They strengthen their bond, and in a relaxed manner, the session contributes to mental and physical development.
